Wilfred Charles Basque Born March 8, 1944 Died January 16, 1998
All My Relations
This would be a place to describe our favorite places to visit. It could be a close family member, a special vacation
spot, or even our favorite place to spend time as a family.
Will was my oldest brother. He took his role of big brother seriously and always looked out for me and my
other brother. We didn't always appreciate having a third parent but we loved him just the same. My
brother taught me so many things throughout my lifetime. I think of him everyday.
Wil was a USMC,
a combat veteran of the Viet Nam war. He survived the war using his wits and relying on his stamina. He
brought home 2 purple hearts and an array of medals that he earned the hard way. Will carried the weight of war
on his shoulders for the remainder of his short life.
Will was happily married to Rosie and they had 4 children.
Kristen, Bryan, Nick and Anne. He lived for his family and would have died for them. His life was
cut short and he was taken from us quite suddenly. Will never lived to meet his grandchildren or mine, but I'm certain
he met them before we did in the other world. My granddaughter still talks about "Uncle Wil" as though she
knew him all her life.
Wil was a dynamic man. He was memorable and never failed to leave an impression.
At his funeral many people from all walks of life told my Mom that Will had had a profound affect of his/her life and they
were grateful to have known him. What a wonderful tribute.
