Both my parents are survivors of the Indian Residential
School in Shubenacadie. Times were bad then. My parents were among the first generation of children
who were sent there.
My dad was in grade 5 when he entered and 2 years later he was still in grade
5. My mom was in grade 8 when she was sent there and 2 years later she was still in grade 8.
